Hilary Fentress

Hilary Fentress currently serves Chicago Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company – Georgia Agency as Vice President and State Underwriting Counsel. She joined the staff of Chicago Title Insurance Company, Atlanta Office, as an underwriter in January of 2005. Along with commercial and residential underwriting, Hilary provides training for attorney agents and agents on the basics of title insurance and other title related topics.  Hilary has been a speaker on various title insurance topics for the State Bar of Georgia, Dixie Land Title Insurance Association, National Business Institute, and other CLE and professional associations.  Hilary has also appeared as a guest lecturer at the University Of Georgia School Of Law and the Georgia Tech College of Business.  Beginning in 2014, she was honored with a position on the Executive Committee of the State Bar RPLS section and is currently Chair of the section.  She is a “double dawg” as she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 and her Juris Doctorate degree cum laude in 1998 from the University of Georgia. Prior to working for Chicago Title, Hilary practiced law in Georgia with an emphasis on title issues, residential real estate and foreclosures. Member: State Bar of Georgia (Real Estate Section), Chair of Executive Committee for the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar, Commercial Real Estate Women of Atlanta (CREW), Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association (GRECAA, Inc.).  Hilary is the mother of a fifteen year-old son, a thirteen year-old daughter, two cats and a dog.

 

David Gordon

David Gordon currently serves Chicago Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company – Georgia Agency as Vice President and Associate State Counsel.  He has been a frequent speaker on the subject of title insurance to realtor’s associations, mortgage and lending associations and other professional groups.  Also, he is a speaker at continuing legal education seminars and has been a guest lecturer at Georgia State University School of Law.  David received a B. A. degree from Brandeis University and a J. D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.  He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

 

Crystal Baker

Crystal Baker currently serves Chicago Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company – Georgia Agency as Assistant Vice President and Underwriting Counsel.  She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law.  Prior to joining CTIC/CLTIC, Crystal was a partner with Taylor Odachowski Schmidt & Crossland in St. Simons Island and Savannah where she currently resides with her family.

Crystal's notable experience includes her selection as the Cousins Public Interest Fellow at the University of Georgia School of Law. Through this fellowship, Crystal worked with Georgia Appleseed Center for Law and Justice where she served as Heirs Property Project Manager, and her Legal Policy work lead to the Passage of the Uniform Heirs Property Act in Georgia. In addition to publishing a manual for landowners titled “Heirs Property in Georgia”, she provided education on Heirs Property issues to hundreds of landowners and community stakeholders throughout the state of Georgia, while also creating a legal education and volunteer program for Georgia attorneys.

Micah Ripley

Micah Ripley currently serves Chicago Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company – Georgia Agency as Assistant Vice President and Underwriting Counsel.  He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2004 and has been representing owners and lenders in real estate matters ever since. While at school, Micah was head of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program and was a Staff Editor of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal. 

He started his law practice in Florida at a business litigation law firm assisting clients in landlord/tenant law, contractual disputes, quiet title, judicial foreclosure for national lending institutions and protecting the property interests of all his clients.  He also enjoyed giving guest lectures in college business law classes related to the real estate and mortgage industry and was regularly appointed as a volunteer Attorney Ad Litem to advocate for minors through the Guardian Ad Litem program.  In 2015, Micah joined our parent company’s in-house legal department in Atlanta where he represented insureds under Chicago and Commonwealth Land Title issued polices.

 

Rhee McCallum

Rhee currently serves Chicago Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company – Georgia Agency as Assistant Vice President and Underwriter. She joined the company in October, 2016. Rhee brings with her 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, 6 of them as a commercial and residential closing paralegal and the remaining in the title insurance industry.  While on the title insurance side of our industry, she served as a claims administrator managing and resolving title claims and as a legal assistant handling underwriting responsibilities, regulatory compliance, agency support, and agent training. Member: Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW); Land Title Association (SLTA).
