Senior Attorney with the Home Defense
Program unit of Atlanta Legal Aid.

 

The Home Defense Program provides legal assistance to low-income homeowners who are facing the loss of their homes, have been targeted for predatory mortgage lending or servicing practices, have been the victims of home purchase or home equity theft scams, or have been wrongfully denied loan modification assistance.  Prior to joining Atlanta Legal Aid, Jennifer was a Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at SunTrust Bank, providing transactional legal support for the SunTrust Commercial Real Estate line of business.  Before SunTrust, Jennifer was a Partner in the Commercial Real Estate practice group at Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP (now Eversheds Sutherland).  Jennifer received her law degree from Harvard Law School and her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.  After law school, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable R. Lanier Anderson, III, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
